Fyi not all eunuchs had the entire thing cut. Some just the balls were cut while others had there entirety removed. Somtimes they just crushed the balls which pains me to say. In this case theyre used as harem servants specifically because of there inability to sire a child which makes a perternity issue impossible. In other cases eunuchs were considerd lower class servants but there inabilty to have a family made them more trustworthy because they had less motivation to create their own private dynasty.

The show runners take great pains to make sure that the accents for each region in Westeros are similar, based on the regional accents in the UK. It's really great world building.

My wife is Chinese and always referred to my cat as "Maomao" and now it has stuck lol. So when this show came around I was instantly in love with our MC. One of the few anime that I decided to buy the written form.

As a side note you can make a eunuch by just removing the "reel" and leaving the "fishing pole" the person can still "go fishing" but no babies made. Second side note, the VA for Maomao also did Tanya in the Saga of Tanya the Evil and next episode she gets to let Tanya come out to play.

Three comments: 1. Either Emperor Kin or Eunuchs are allowed into Rear Palace 2. Gaoshun is pretty cool and highly rated by Maomao she questioned his being a Eunuch 3. I suspect the Emperor and a Jinshi know Fuyou’s situation and play along avoiding any complications XiaoMao means little cat or kitten, heh heh.

This is one of the only 1 cute 20 min short love story that has made me cry. Tears flowed down when they finally stopped being formal and hugged😭

Even though it’s a dark series with not a lot of people to root for, I like that there’s still some levity. Like Daemon’s shiftiness in the black council and Otto reacting to Aegon and Cole scenes were genuinely so funny.
